He was much loved and will always be remembered by those who knew him.

DEREK CLIVE WELLS 'DEREK BRUCE' Passed away on December 14th, 2020, at the Alexander Hospital, Redditch, aged 80. Much loved Father to Sarah, Father in Law to Andrew and Grandfather to Atlanta, Ex Husband to Jill, and Brother to Audrey.

He was an Entertainment Agent, a Musician and Band Master.

The Funeral Service at St Peter's Church, Bengeworth, on January 5th, at 1 p.m. If you wish to stand in respect to Derek, the funeral cortege will travel up Port Street at approximately 12.45 p.m. on the way to the Church.

Derek was a devoted and loving father and grandfather and was an inspirational teacher to many musicians and an unsung hero around Evesham and beyond.

We all have Derek to thank for Bands in the Park, The Academy Swing band at Evesham Hospital and Cropthorne Walkabout, The Tree of Light, Remembrance Day parades in Moreton in the Marsh and Bengeworth, St George's Day parade in Evesham and The Mayor of Gloucester's Day Parade plus many, many other events.
Derek was always an advocate for young people and worked to develop and empower a new generation of musicians, many of whom have gone on to run bands and groups with other children and young people.
